miSs aMlan 2007...

A year ago, I received a great gift from the Lord. When I decided to join Miss Amlan 2007, I was not really expecting to win but I was hoping for the best. I prayed a lot and I really gave it my all.

When the host announced that I won the first minor award, I was really thankful. I then told myself, “Now you’re sure you won’t go home with nothing.”

But then, I didn’t know that the Lord has prepared more for me. My name was called again for 4 more minor awards. I was so happy with what I got for it was beyond what I was praying for.

And then the major awards were announced. I then swore to myself that if I win, I will be a role model to the youth; that I will be an ambassador of good will.

The thrill was felt by all the 8 candidates as the host announced the last major award.

Then he said… and the Miss Amlan 2007 is candidate no.1, Maria Margarita Narvasa...

That was certainly the best blessing that the Lord has ever given me. And as promised, I tried my best to be the finest example of my fellow Amlanganons.

Now, my reign is about to end and another beauty should wear the crown. But before I finally pass what the Lord has given to me, I would like to thank my mom for the full support she has given.

Ma, I joined that pageant for you. Thanks for the help, the support, and the sacrifices. You are my inspiration. I would never have done it without you. You’re the best mom in the world, mother.

I also wanna thank my The NORSUnian family, and all those who went here last year to support me. You should know that all you’re efforts are deeply appreciated.

I hope that the next Miss Amlan would continue to be an inspiration to the youth. I hope that she would be able to show the world how great Amlanganons are. And I hope, that she will be able to continue to inspire all of us and be an epitome of beauty and good will as the years pass.

Thank you for the opportunity, and good luck to the new Ambassador of Goodwill of Amlan...

Ayan po... Samalat kay kUa nOrieL sa pagkuha ng mga pIctures na to... hehe.. AnyWay, kwentuhan ko kayo sa mGa nangyari...

NapagPlanuhan namin na manuod ng Ms.Dumaguete non... And so, andun kami... Dun lang kami sa labas kasi wala naman kaming pera pambayad ng entrance... haha. Nahawaaan sila sa pagkawalang pera ko. haha. Dun lang kami sa wide screen [na hindi naman wide] nanuod... Masaya naman kami kahit isang coke lang ang inorder namin. hehehe...

Umulan. haha. Salamat naman at sa may canope kami umupo. haha. Buti nga dun sa mga magpasoxal na umupo talaga sa harapan, nabasa sila. Blehh! =)

May disco pagkatapos ng pageant... Sa mga hindi nakakaalam, mahilig kami magdisco, pag kami lang ang sumasayaw at pag walang nanunuod. haha. balik tayo, may disco nga daw, eh kasu sang katerbang bading ang andun sa dance hall. Puro talaga vaklushi, pwamis. Na shock nga ako dahil ganun na pla sila karami ngaun, grabe! haha. So, di nlang kami sumayaw. "Give them chance," ika nga nila. hehe.

Siguru ay nagtataka kayo kung ano ang koneksyon nitong sinusulat ko sa mga pic na yan, uhmmm.. Wala lang, pag uwi namin ay nag mcdo kami, inutang lang namin ang pambayad kay kUa nOrieL... Tsaka ano, gusto ko lang ipakita nag new hair ko. whehe. ok lang? bagay? chege...

Super busog ako! Sa unang pagkakataon ngaung buwan na ito, nabusog talaga ako! =)

Ako ay kumain ng carbonara. Nilasap ko ang sarap ng, ika nga ng iba ay, puting spageti. Napakamacrema nito. May kasama pang bacon na aking peborit din. Abot tenga ang tawa ko sa bawat subo ko. Ang masasabi ko lang, "ang sarap talaga!."

Hindi lamang iyan ang laman ng aking lumobong tiyan, kumain din ako ng pizza. Pinigilan kong kumain ng marami [ows? hekhek] dahil baka sabihin nila wala na talagang makain sa boarding haus ko [kahit totoo naman na wala na nga. hekhek]... ang sarap ng pizza. Dalawa ang inorder namin, large pa! haha. Ung hawaiian at sunny side up na may bacon ulet! Bida talaga ang bacon sa post kong 'to! =) Ramdam na ramdam ko ang kaularan sa bawat kagat ng pizza. Whoah! Nam2 di ba?

Siyempre, ayaw naman nila na mabilaukan ako diba? Ayon! nag.order sila ng bottomless na inumin, at dahil hindi ako umiinom ng alcohol, ice tea nalang. Napakacaring talaga nila nu? Ang lamig ng ice tea, kea naman, mejo napadami ang inum ko. =)

Gusto pa sana nila na bilhan ako ng shawarma, ngunit umayaw na ako. Nahihiya na kasi ako, yoko naman sabihin na itakehome ko nlang dahil nakakahiya nga. Bat sayang din yun nu?

So ayun!... Salamat sa aking mga sponsors, ang bestfriend ko na siyang dahilan kung bakit ako nalibre at pati na rin sa kanyang "eks" na siyang namulubi sa pagbayad.. haha

Ako ay nalulungkot. Oo, hindi man pansin ng ilan, ako ay nalulungkot.

Simula pa noong lunes, ramdam na ramdam ko na ang kahirapan ng buhay, at pati narin ang init ng araw [dahil ako ay naglakad lamang]. Awang-awa ako sa akiling sarili. Walang pera kaya napilitang maglakad.

Pagdaan ko sa isang tindahan, naisipan kong bumili ng isang ice [hindi ko alam ang tagalog ng ice] para naman makainom ako ng malamig na tubig pagdating ko ng bahay. Ngunit pagtingin ko sa aking pitaka, wala talagang laman kahit piso. Paano ako makakabili ng ice, tanong ko sa sarili ko...

Namulat ako sa masakit na katotohanan. Na kahit piso lang, hindi ko mabibili. Malungkot akong nagpatuloy sa aking paglalakad hanggang makaabot ako sa aking bahay.

Nabuhayan na sana ako. Pinilit ko maging masaya. Naalala ko na tanghalian na pala. Dahil sa lubos na kalungkutan ang aking nadama, muntik [muntik lang. hekhek] ko nang makalimutan na kumakain. Mas naging malungkot ako ng makita ko na isang pancit canton lamang ang aking ulam [dalawa po kami na kakain kaya parang kalahati lang ang akin].

Hay, sobra sobra na ang pasakit na ito. Kaya ako talaga ay nalulungkot, hindi nyo man pansin, ako ay nalulungkot!

I could clearly remember [cause its stated in my profile. hekhek] that I made this blogger account last April. I was really eager to type down my thoughts but unfortunately, i wasn't able to. It was because I when I start facing the computer, my thoughts start to run out of my mind.

It was just this September when I noticed that more and more staffers of TN [the official student publication of Negros Oriental State University] are into blogging. I watched them as they continually publish posts, make new friends and learn new stuffs. Then I said, i wanna do that to0. and so, here am i, encoding some random thoughts. having fun with blogging.

It was not really long when almost all the other staff of TN had a blog. Yes! BLOGGING IS IN! ;]
And were starting to fall in love with it.

05. Caroline "Robot" Casal...

Caroline is one of my first closest friends in TN. She was my news partner during the months of January till March. ;] Though I always tease her, I learned so much from her. In the small time that we spent together, she taught me the value of friendship. Thanks Caroline... ;)

04. Dianna Ann Claire "AB" Betchido...

Dianne and I became close when I started hunting for a boarding house that has no curfew. Since she was interested in looking for one to0, we decided to look together. Luckily, we were able to rent a room that's just enough for the two of us. Dianne, thanks for being a sister I always wanted.

03. Ren Angelo "man__c" Elevera...

Despite all the hard ships and all the sad things, I still consider this person very special. He is one of the persons who really made me happy at some time. hmmm. Let's not elaborate. hehe. ;)Anyway, thanks ren...

02. Lester Van Clifford "____" Ebol...

Because I was broken hearted, and since he has an ear for dramas and all, we instantly became close. Despite of the usual boy hunting and s_x lessons that we talk about, there is still much to know about him. He is a guy(?) with a good heart, definitely. He is the kind type, and also someone whom you can really trust. Lezh, thanks for everything, there's too much too mention. ;)

01. Junrell "Bong" Calunod...

Honestly, I do not really know how to start thanking this person for all the things he did to me. He really plays a big big role in my life. He is my bf (jokin! ;]), my kuya, and my ultimate friend. He one of the persons i can share my problems with, he is one who never fails to give me advices. He is a life saver. ;] Thanks so much kua, you mean so much to me. ;]

I have no idea why that is so... maybe because i was hurt.... or maybe because, i didn't love him that much after all...

A lot of my friends tell me that I am not in love... that maybe I am just pressured since my past love already recovered from me, that maybe having a new lover is just my defense...

Every time they tease me with these things, I just give them a sarcastic smile... I deny it though truly, somewhere inside my heart tells me that they are right...

For almost three months, I tried my best to make it out with someone. Someone whom I thought was good enough to make me forget my past love... I tried to find in him the happiness that I once had with someone else... I tried to have another inspiration...

In its wicked way, it worked - a little.

I admit that I found something interesting in him, that somehow, I also felt happy with him... I wont ever deny that I also had many memories with him that I could cherish... that he is someone special too... that there is much things I learned from him....

but like what they say, "not all good things last forever"...

I knew that one day, the dead end of the road of our relationship will come... I was sure that there will be an end of it no matter how I try to neglect the possibility... and yes, I was not wrong....

I woke up one morning with mixed emotions. Sad, nervous, yet sure of what I was gonna do. I knew it was not just any other morning for I knew that on that particular day, I was gonna be single again.

To cut the story short, I broke up with him for many reasons that I opt not to share... He hurt me, thus, he does not deserve to stay in my life...

All of my friends were expecting me to fall down and endlessly cry... They thought it will be hard for me... but it was not like that. Contrary to what they thought, this has been the easiest break up ever.

I have no idea why that is so... maybe because I was hurt.... or maybe because, I didn't love him that much after all...
